I am Ashleigh Sutherland, owner of Weddings by Ashland and lead planner. I have been professionally working weddings and events since 2010 and I love every minute of it!
A lot of people get overwhelmed or anxious when thinking about all that goes into planning a wedding or event. For me, it feels more like falling in love! With each new event I am involved with, I get butterflies in my tummy, just as I did when I fell in love with my husband! Butterflies aren't a bad thing. They are a sign of excitement: anticipation of a job well done and a happy couple enjoying a picture perfect wedding!

Allow me to introduce you to my main squeeze, the love of my life, my soul mate and my very own handsome husband, Jared.
​
I may sound like a broken record with that introduction but, honestly, no matter how many years Jared and I are together, I am just as happy to be his wife today as I was on our wedding day!
I can only hope that each of my clients get the chance to experience a love like this! I wish you all, the very best of luck!

Travel back in time with me, if you will, to the year 2004. I was a junior in high school and I was dating this very sweet senior boy! It was practically love at first sight!
After our first date, on a Saturday evening, at a local roller skating rink, I walked home, giddy and in love! When I came through the front door, my momma asked how my date went. I stood there, grinning from ear to ear, and replied, "I'm going to marry that boy someday!" And then, I did!

I married the boy of my dreams on July 4th 2005!
The day I married Jared was the happiest day of my life!
At least it was, until our oldest son was born!

The one thing I always knew for certain, was that when I grew up, I wanted to be a mommy!
For me, having kids was like eating Pringles. "Once you pop, you just can't stop". LOL.
I loved being pregnant! More than anything else in the world,
I loved this little life my husband and I created!
Our first son, Wyatt, was born in December 2006.
One year and 3 days later, we welcomed our second son, Owen, into the world.
And, a year after that, we celebrated the birth of our daughter, Jeweleanna.
